There was a man with a heavy body who had to go to a party and did not dare, because his mother had sent him to Orunmila's house, where he was marked ebbó with parrot feathers, a yoke strap, two jio jio and his due. The man paid no attention and went to the party; but his mother, knowing he had done wrong, made the ebbó before her son arrived — and that is how he was able to get free of Ogún.

2The road of the four Awó

One day the four went to eat yam fufú, and Ayan Kolo Kolo was nearby watching them; suddenly he saw one of them reach in and take fufú, and the iyalufón caught his hand: «You did not help me when I made ebbó.» Ayan Kolo Kolo, out of shame, stood up and went out to the street door saying: «There is no iyalosha here or anything.» The iyalofón answered: «Yes, there is an iyalosha here, and an Awó too.» «Tell her I am here.» So, from what was left on the plates, they sent it out to the door, but first they said: «ago Eshu agogoro» — that is the Elegba who lives behind the door, and he eats with Eshu Ayan Kolo Kolo. From that moment on he went on eating the leftovers at the door, and that is how he began to help the Awós and the iyaloshas.
