Delete your account

You can delete your account whenever you want, without giving reasons. It is the same account in the apps and on the website: if you delete it in one place, it is gone everywhere. You do not need to be signed in to read this page.

1. From the app (iPhone or Android)

1. Open the La Palabra de Ifá app and sign in with your account.
2. Go to Profile.
3. Tap Delete my account and confirm.

2. From the website

1. Sign in at lapalabradeifa.com/cuenta.
2. Press Eliminar mi cuenta y mis datos (Delete my account and my data).
3. Type BORRAR to confirm.

3. By email

If you cannot sign in, write to us from your account's email address at contacto@lapalabradeifa.com with the subject «Borrar mi cuenta» (Delete my account). We delete it within 7 days at most and confirm by email. If you write from another address, we will ask for what we need to check that the account is yours.

Before deleting: your subscription

Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription bought on the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it in the store first: on iPhone, in Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. If you had a subscription paid on the website, it is cancelled when you delete the account.

What is deleted

Immediately and permanently:

• Your account: email, name, year of birth and sign-in method (password, Apple or Google).
• Your notebook in the cloud: readings, readings you give, vault of signs, itás, prayers of your house, notes per sign and favorites.
• Your "Tu camino" profile and your review, if you had one.
• Your registered devices and their sessions.
• The link to your purchases in the apps and your referral code.

What you kept only on your phone (for example, voice notes on itás) is not on our servers: it is deleted when you uninstall the app.

What is kept, and for how long

• Purchase records: kept by Apple, Google or Stripe (depending on where you bought), for the periods tax law requires of them. We cannot delete them.
• Security log: the encrypted fingerprints of your email and IP address that we use to limit sign-in attempts are kept for up to 180 days and then deleted automatically. They do not reveal who you are.
