Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") constitute a binding agreement between PINNCOR ("PINNCOR", "we", "us" or "our") and any person who accesses or uses the website located at lapalabradeifa.com (the "Site") or any service made available through it (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing the Site, creating an account or effecting payment, you ("you" or the "User") acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.

1. The provider

The Service is operated by PINNCOR, which furnishes study materials concerning the 256 Odù of the Ifá oracle in the Lukumí tradition, including prayers, patakís, ebbós, works, proverbs and related material (the "Content").

2. Nature and limitations of the Content

2.1. The Content is furnished exclusively for purposes of study, reference and preservation of the religious tradition of Ifá.

2.2. The Content does not constitute, and shall not be construed as, a substitute for consultation with a consecrated priest of Ifá (Babalawo), nor as medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. No reliance placed upon the Content shall give rise to liability on the part of PINNCOR.

2.3. The works and ebbós described form part of a traditional corpus. Their performance pertains to those consecrated in accordance with the tradition, and nothing in the Content shall be deemed authorization, instruction or license to perform them.

3. Accounts and User obligations

3.1. Access to paid Content requires the creation of an account associated with a valid email address. You represent that the information supplied is accurate and that you will keep it current.

3.2. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity occurring under your account.

3.3. The account is personal and non-transferable. Sharing, assigning or otherwise making access available to third parties constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in suspension or termination of the Service without refund.

4. Plans, fees and payment

• The Door (no charge): access to the preview of the Content, supported by advertising.
• The Notebook (subscription): full access for so long as the subscription remains in force. The subscription renews automatically on a monthly, semiannual or annual basis, as elected by the User, until cancelled in accordance with clause 6.
• The Legacy (single payment): perpetual access to the Content, subject to the continued operation of the Service.

The plans named The Door, The Notebook and The Legacy were formerly designated Aleyo, Babalawo and Awó respectively. The change is one of name only and does not affect any right, price or condition already contracted.

4.1. Payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. PINNCOR does not receive, process or retain card numbers.

4.2. Fees are displayed in Mexican pesos (MXN). Where payment is effected from the United States, Stripe charges the equivalent amount in United States dollars (USD).

4.3. Fees are inclusive of applicable taxes save where expressly stated otherwise.

5. Founder's price

5.1. Accounts that reserve or acquire the founder's price on or before December 31, 2026 shall retain that price for so long as the subscription remains active and uninterrupted.

5.2. Upon cancellation, lapse or non-payment of such a subscription, the founder's price is forfeited, and any subsequent re-subscription shall be effected at the list price then in force.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account, and shall retain access until the expiry of the period already paid for. The Cancellation and Refund Policy, available at /en/legal/refunds, is incorporated herein by reference and forms part of these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

7.1. The compilation, editorial treatment, arrangement, design, source code and presentation of the Site are the exclusive property of PINNCOR and are protected by applicable copyright and related laws.

7.2. The traditional corpus of Ifá belongs to the tradition itself; PINNCOR asserts rights solely in its own edition, organization and presentation of that corpus.

7.3. Save as expressly permitted herein, no User may reproduce, extract in bulk, redistribute, publicly communicate, adapt or resell the Content without the prior written authorization of PINNCOR.

8. Prohibited conduct

The User shall not: (a) access or attempt to access paid Content without a corresponding subscription; (b) interfere with, disrupt or impair the operation, integrity or security of the Site; (c) employ automated means, including crawlers, scrapers or robots, to extract Content; or (d) resell, sublicense or otherwise commercialize access to the Service.

9. Availability and modifications

9.1. PINNCOR endeavours to maintain continuous availability of the Site but does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, and shall not be liable for interruptions attributable to maintenance, third-party providers or events beyond its reasonable control.

9.2. PINNCOR reserves the right to modify the Content, the fees (subject always to clause 5) and these Terms. Material changes shall be announced on the Site, and continued use following such announcement constitutes acceptance thereof.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the aggregate liability of PINNCOR to any User, whether arising in contract, tort or otherwise, shall not exceed the amount actually paid by that User for the Service during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
