A living treatise of the 256 Odù
La Palabra de Ifá is a digital treatise of the 256 Odù of the Ifá oracle, in the Lukumí tradition — the one that crossed the sea and rebuilt itself in Cuba. Every sign has its own page: the prayer, the «Ifá says» reading, its refranes with their meaning, what is born in the sign, the eewó with its reason, the ebbós, and all its patakíes.
The treatise is published whole in two languages: Spanish and English. There are 256 pages in each language, with the same content, checked sign by sign. The Spanish version lives at lapalabradeifa.com.

The rules
The rules of this house
How is this treatise edited?
With five rules. They hold for all 512 pages:
- The patakíes are published whole, never merged.Each camino is told complete, and no story is fused with another. If the treatise keeps two versions of the same story, both are published, each on its own.
- Hard passages are told with restraint.Some passages are harsh. They are told without crudeness and without censoring the meaning: what the sign teaches is not cut out.
- The words of the tradition are not translated.Odù, iré, osogbo, ebbó, eewó, patakí, ashé — they are explained, not replaced. The lexicon defines them one by one.
- Variants are marked, never mixed.When another notebook brings a different version of a camino, it is published apart and marked as such; it is never blended into the house text.
- One spelling.The house writes Eshu — never «Echu» —, Osogbo, ebbó with double b, and patakí, plural «patakíes», and holds to it across the whole site.
