1Thanks to Orunmila he began to save

There was a man who had only three cents and thought of killing himself; his wife took him to Orunmila, this Ifá came up, he cleansed him and told him to come back in five days. When he came back, he had five cents saved, and he told Orunmila he no longer wanted to kill himself. Orunmila made ebbó for him and told him to come back in a few more days; when he came back he had seven cents saved, and so he kept rising, thanks to Orunmila.

Yemayá owned many houses and lived on the rent; but on one occasion her tenants stopped paying her, and she grew so desperate that she thought of taking her own life by hanging. While she was looking for the rope, she thought of going to Orunmila's house, and he saw this Ifá for her and said: «You are thinking of killing yourself because things are going badly for you; keep calm and make ebbó so all your problems are settled.» She listened to what he said, made the ebbó and took it where it belonged. The next day, all her tenants began paying her everything they owed.

On one occasion, Yemayá owned many houses and lived on the rent; but on one occasion her tenants stopped paying her, and she grew very desperate, and her despair was such that she thought of taking her own life by hanging. Note: a basin with seawater and indigo is set beside Yemayá, and a rooster is given there; it is filled with jutía, fish, corn, orí, efún, honey and otí, wrapped in blue cloth and taken to the sea. What is in the basin, after three days, is thrown out into the street.
